15 Years of Experience
We have been holding weddings and functions here for over 15 years and one thing we have learned is that every wedding is different and of course it should be. We have seen a massive difference in what clients want and the style of wedding ranging from an informal get together where two days before the wedding nobody knew how many people were coming (not to be recommended for the faint hearted) to a “market stall” theme, where food was served in a mock street.
Church Wedding?
If you have not yet decided upon what type of wedding service you require we would recommend St Anne’s Church which is directly opposite and a very beautiful setting. The Church is very accommodating and the relaxation of Church rules means that people from outside our parish can now be accommodated. The Church also welcomes Wedding Blessings if a full service is not required.
What Happens Next?
- Check the calendar for a suitable date. Please note that a reservtion might have been made directly and not yet added on.
- To view the Halls, you can arrange a convenient time by contacting us on 01782 505463 and arranging to visit. Visiting times are Wednesday evenings and most Sunday mornings.
- You can request a booking on the website which if approved will be confirmed. Please read the terms and conditions that will be sent to you
- You need to pay 10% to secure the Halls and pay the balance two weeks before your wedding.
- And remember this is a special day so use our Halls to make it your day by having what you want. If you are not sure then give us a call.

Evening Hire
Event day access from 5pm. (Exclusive use of all Halls). Other organisations can use the halls until 5pm. All cleared away at end of evening and removed from site. Includes bar, service charge and person on site during your event to ensure smooth running and stress free event.

Next day add on
Users have exclusive access to Halls day following the event st finish clearing up or to store equipment overnight from suppliers. Access untill 11am by which time the hall must be vacated.

Extra Car Park- £55
Additional car parking is recommended for events larger than 90 people and we can hire the school playground at the rear for you at an additional £55. This also means that you can reserve space at the front of the Village Hall for VIP's or other activities.
Exclusive Daytime Party - £160
Suitable for family events. Book the halls with exclusive use from noon untill 6pm for family occasions such as Christenings and childrens parties. Available Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Can be booked with the bar as an add on.
Catering
Sadly experience has taught us that certain wedding suppliers are not what they appear and clients have been let down.
We are introducing a list of approved caterers so that we can ensure they are insured, their premises are approved with the required health certificates, their staff qualified and the equipment they bring in is PAT tested. We even have seen LPG gas bottles used bought into the premises!
Because often at weddings young children and elderly people are in attendance higher levels of food safety are required. We therefore do not allow food to be bought in or prepared by anyone other than the approved caterers. Until a definitive list of caterers is devised please advise us of your preferred caterer and we can liaise with them.

The halls are cleaned overnight and made ready for the next days events, therefore if you are bringing tables and chairs you will need Package Extra to allow your tables and chairs to be removed off site the next day following your event.
