Forget about the traditional image of a village hall!


This Victorian building has been lovingly restored to allow you to hold an event that suits you! Minimum rules and total flexibility is our motto, so that you can create your own themed event. It can cater for all your needs whether it be family events such as wedding receptions, christenings parties, performances such as dance or music, as well as shows and fayres and is licensed for 280 people. The facilities are carefully managed and maintained which includes thorough overnight cleaning to ensure clients are not disappointed in any way. All clients are given contracts with terms and conditions of hiring to ensure a well run event. The halls are air conditioned.


The perfect surrounding


Increasingly the halls are being used for wedding receptions because it is situated adjacent to St Anne's Church which has become more flexible as to who is allowed to marry in recent years. Wedding parties frequently use countyside locations around the Halls for photographs.

Professional bar


There is a full resident cocktail bar which for one event had to be a full on non alcoholic bar creating many non alcoholic cocktails. The bar stocks  2 lagers, cider and an IPA dispensed from 2 sets of fonts and at least one cask conditioned real ale at all times as well as Guiness on surge. An extensive range of wines, sparkling wines, champagnes and spirits including 6 whiskeys and 9 gins a full range of shots etc. The facilities are carefully managed and maintained which includes thorough overnight cleaning to ensure clients are not disappointed in any way.  All clients are given contracts with terms and conditions of hiring to ensure a well run event. 

Flexibility


The four separate halls are arranged to flow in a way that suits most occasions.  An grand entrance hall leading on to a hall that contains a professionally operated cocktail bar which  acts as a holding area untill moving on to the main hall where the main function takes place. For most larger events the folding doors in the meeting room are opened up to provide additional space.

Brown Edge Hall’s flexibility and its freedom from restrictions, allows brides and wedding planners to feel that they can create their own vision and atmosphere just as they wish. We have been host to all manner of weddings from a French market street theme, a Mediaeval banquet, a Jordanian Arabic wedding to a full Nigerian tribal village event. There is a full height grand entrance hall which is ideal for guests to arrive into and to receive a welcome drink before moving into the reception itself.

A large professionally equipped kitchen allows caterers to prepare full meals from wedding breakfasts to buffet style meals.
